What you would do
Support dentists at the chairside, prepare instruments and look after patients. You will be a registered dental nurse with the GDC when you finish.
Day to day
- Set up surgeries and sterilise instruments
- Assist during treatments and reassure nervous patients
- Keep accurate clinical records
- Order stock and manage the decontamination room
What you would study
Dental nurse (level 3)
Level 3 Dental Nurse standard with Activate Learning, one evening class a week.
Training provider: Activate Learning
Working week
Tuesday to Saturday, one late shift to 7pm
What you need
- GCSE English and maths at grade 4 or above
- Hepatitis B vaccination before starting, arranged by the practice
