What you would do
Are you looking to start a career in Childcare? Well this could be the opportunity for you, with an exciting level 3 early years apprenticeship at Pudsey Day Nursery. You will support the planning and delivery of purposeful play activities and ensure the welfare and safety of children is promoted. Uniform is provided.
Day to day
Pudsey Day Nursery are looking for a level 3 apprentice to join their team. They aim to be the next best thing when carers and parents can not be around, to ensures that the children are comfortable, cared for and educated to the highest possible standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join this local, friendly nursery.
Some duties and responsibilities include:
- Training in all aspects of the E.Y.P Level 2
- Feeding
- Toileting
- Health and safety
- Communicating effectively with children and parents
- Safeguarding
- Support the planning and delivery of purposeful play activities in line with the early years foundation stage
- Work with parents, colleagues and other agencies to ensure children’s individual needs are met
- Support the children to understand healthy life choices through engaging play activities
What you would study
Early years educator (level 3)
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard and will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
Training provider: REALISE LEARNING AND EMPLOYMENT LIMITED
Working week
Monday to Friday.

- GCSE Mathematics at grade 4 (desired)
- GCSE English Language at grade 4 (desired)
