About GEORGE HAINES (ITCHENOR) LTD

Haines Boatyard has been part of Itchenor's boating heritage for more than a century, built on traditional craftsmanship and a commitment to quality.

When the Haines family placed the yard on the market in 1983, members of Itchenor Sailing Club stepped in to secure its future. Today, the yard remains a not-for-profit organisation majority owned by ISC members, with all resources reinvested into the facilities, the workforce, and the harbour community.

Our skilled team continues the tradition of high quality shipwrighting while supporting the club's keelboat fleet, and the wider sailing community, with year round maintenance, moorings, storage, and scrubbing services. With close collaboration between ISC and the Boatyard including club members serving as non-executive directors, both organisations work together to keep sailing in Chichester Harbour thriving.

Things to consider

Boatyards can be cold, wet and muddy - especially in winter.
