What you would do

Start your career in childcare with a supportive team! As a Childcare Apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting children's learning and development while working towards a recognised qualification. No experience is needed, just enthusiasm, a caring attitude and a passion for helping children thrive.

Day to day

  • Help plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Support children's learning, play and development.
  • Assist with daily routines, including meals, toileting and personal care, as appropriate.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies.
  • Work towards a recognised childcare qualification with support from experienced staff.

What you would study

Early years educator (level 3)

Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team.

Using their expert knowledge, they will provide you with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and support your future career progression.

Throughout the apprenticeship, learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme.

Working week

Minimum of 30 hours. Salary: £12,480 per year based on 30 hours per week.
