What you would do
Are you looking to further your training in childcare? This friendly nursery in Bournemouth is looking for a Level 5 Early Years Apprentice to lead a room. Plan, organise the team and interact directly with children on a day-to-day basis supporting the planning of and delivery of activities.
Day to day
- Creating a warm, friendly, and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally
- Supervising all aspects of care for children including washing, changing, and feeding
- Acting as a room leader to a small team to support the recording of observations and planning for the children
- Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Ensuring the nurseries policies and procedures are adhered to by all members of staff
- Completing all work to desired timescales as set by Showcase Tutor
What you would study
Early years lead practitioner (level 5)
- Level 5 Apprenticeship standard for the Early Years Lead Practitioner
- Functional Skills: maths and English at Level 2 (Unless exempt)
- Training completed via work-based visits at the nursery and 4 hours of study time provided for coursework

- GCSE English at grade 4 or C and above (essential)
- GCSE Maths at grade 4 or C and above (desired)
- L3 Diploma/ NVQ Early Years at grade Pass (essential)

About Annabels Nursery
We provide the highest standard of care for children aged 3 months to 8 years. We're open from 8am to 6pm, for 51 weeks a year.
