Day to day

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship

Earn while you learn!

This is an exciting opportunity to achieve a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship while gaining valuable workplace experience in a professional and supportive environment.

You will gain hands-on experience in a busy professional environment where your work will help ensure victims and witnesses receive a high-quality service throughout the criminal justice process.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll learn how to provide effective administrative support, manage information, coordinate activities and communicate with a range of internal departments and external partner organisations. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys learning, problem-solving and developing new skills.

What will you be doing?

As part of your apprenticeship, you'll gain experience in a range of business administration activities, including:

  • Managing team inboxes, workflows and administrative tasks
  • Supporting the allocation and monitoring of work across teams
  • Processing referrals and assisting with case management activities
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases and information systems
  • Learning how to analyse information and identify actions on police systems
  • Producing professional documents, reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications
  • Supporting communication between departments and partner organisations
  • Assisting with case administration and information management processes
  • Developing excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be supported to build confidence in workplace systems, business processes and professional communication.

We want a workforce that reflects our communities. We recognise that talented people come from many different backgrounds and life experiences. We particularly encourage applications from communities the organisation hasn't consistently heard, reached or served well, including candidates from ethnically diverse communities, individuals with a disability, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

Whether you're leaving education, looking for a new direction, returning to work, or taking your first step into a professional career, your unique perspective and experiences are valued. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive and be themselves.

If you identify as being from an under‑represented community, we also offer a programme of Positive Action support delivered by our Outreach Team to guide and assist you through the recruitment process.
