What you would do

S&C Staintech are looking for an enthusiastic individual to undertake the apprenticeship in metal fabrication. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and experience within this field.

Day to day

General duties including:

· Work safely at all times complying with health and safety legislation, regulations, organisational and environmental requirements

· Plan and prepare for the metal fabrication activities before commencing work

· Check materials conform to the specified grades, dimensions and thicknesses identified on detailed engineering drawings.

· Use the correct methods for the moving and handling resources and materials

· Inspect and test joins for security against required standard

· Carry out quality checks on component parts and completed assemblies

· Deal with problems that occur within the fabrication activity in line with responsibilities of the role

What you would study

Metal fabricator (level 3)

Training will be at North Lindsey College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer.

Day release

You will undertake the Metal Fabrication standard.

Other training

You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or Maths if needed.

You will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge and experience.

Working week

Monday – Thursday 8am-4pm Friday 8am-2pm
