What you would do

We are hoping to recruit a new member to join our pharmacy family in our innovative small team of qualified professionals, as an apprentice Pharmacy Assistant. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full-time employment and progress to a higher-level qualification.

Day to day

Dispensing of medication to patients

  • Over-the-counter sales of non-prescription medication
  • Check and monitor prescription slips
  • Health & safety responsibility
  • Rotation of stock
  • Use of patient record systems and use of smart cards
  • Data entry relating to medication
  • Labelling and dispensing
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Working within a team environment
  • Liaison with doctors, surgery and health professionals
  • Completion of apprenticeship work on time

What you would study

Pharmacy services assistant (level 2)

  • Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 and Functional Skills if required

Training provider: COREED LIMITED

Working week

Monday- Friday, between the hours of 9.00am- 5.30pm. Saturday on a rota, between 9.00am- 12.00pm. Shifts to be decided on interview.

What you need

  • GCSE Maths at grade 4 (desired)
  • GCSE English at grade 4 (desired)
