What you would do
If you think you have what it takes to join our next generation of retail leaders, we’re offering a fresh start and a proper job right here in our stores. We are looking for a Retailer Apprentice to join our store as part of our Proper Jobs: Fresh Start Programme whilst completing a level 2 Retailer Apprenticeship Standard.
Day to day
- You’ll start by spending 13 weeks working as a Morrisons Customer Assistant, before progressing to a 12-month apprenticeship in Retailing. If you successfully complete your apprenticeship and assessments, you could then progress to our Sir Ken Morrison Leadership School. This is a six-month programme, which can kickstart your journey into retail management
- After 13 weeks, you’ll move to a Retailer Apprentice, and through the apprenticeship we’ll help you learn about the retail industry, from customer service, to sales, stock management, products, communication, teamwork, and loads more
- We’re looking for friendly individuals to help to provide great customer service in our stores, along with using in-store tech to carry out tasks like stock counts and gap scans - playing a role in keeping our shelves stocked for our customers
What you would study
Retailer (level 2)
After 13 weeks as a Customer Assistant, you’ll enrol as a Retailer Apprentice and:
- Complete a level 2 Retailer apprenticeship standard
- Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- Get hands-on experience in a job
- Study for 6 hours of your working hours
- Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship

25 hours. Fully flexible 5 days over 7.
