What you would do

A Sales Support Apprentice is required for a leading electrical wholesaler. The candidate will support the Sales Department along with serving customers on the trade counter Fantastic career progression opportunity for the right candidate.

What is an Electrical Wholesaler?

Electrical wholesalers sell the products we all use in our homes, businesses, entertainment venues, and cafés that give us access to electricity. From lighting our homes through to floodlighting a football match, from recharging a mobile phone to recharging an electric vehicle. The products you will be working with are used in domestic, industrial, and commercial settings, and are installed by contractors and electricians.

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time apprentice 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.

The sales support role is extremely varied; you will be required to work alongside the sales department.

This busy Edmundson Electrical branch is looking for a highly motivated apprentice to join our busy branch. After full training, responsibilities will include:

  • Enter supplier invoices into our bespoke system
  • Check for pricing and quantity anomalies
  • Liaise with our branches
  • Answering the telephone
  • Checking customer invoices against store purchase orders
  • Raising debits and credits
  • Serving on the trade counter
  • General admin duties
  • Learning products and codes
  • May be required to help out within the warehouse if busy

Experience

  • Office experience and Microsoft skills are essential
  • Strong work ethic and initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Superb organisational skills
  • Attention to detail will employ you whilst you are completing your apprenticeship qualification.

The Apprenticeship Training Agency will employ you on behalf of Edmundson Electrical whilst you are completing your apprenticeship

Apprenticeship qualification will be Customer Service Level 2/3 which is carried out within the workplace. Allocated time will be allocated for you to complete work.

What you would study

Customer service practitioner (level 2)

Completing a Level 2/3 Customer Service Apprenticeship Standard, consisting of:

  • Knowledge and competence qualification in Customer Service
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA) - final test and observation

The vocational and academic training aspects are separated and delivered by separate teams. The vocational training and assessment are conducted, more often than not, on-site according to the employers wishes.

Notice of dates is agreed well in advance of a site visit. Training and assessment are conducted both on and off the job, according to the needs of the course and the learner. Every effort is made to ensure the best result is achieved by the learner.

Working week

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5.00pm.
