What you would do

Bumbles Nursery are a family-run business and now have a fantastic opportunity to join the team at their Maghull setting to complete a level 2 Early Years apprenticeship. You will be leading play activities and supporting with care routines. Apply now and join their outstanding team.

Day to day

Bumbles Nursery's aim is to support children in all aspects of learning so that when they leave for the next chapter in their journey of life, they are confident around their peers, able to socialise and therefore adapt comfortably into their next setting. If you to join this nursery as an apprentice to work towards their aim, please see the responsibilities below:

  • Carry out basic care duties
  • Ensure safeguarding and health and safety standards are maintained
  • Carry out observations/planning in accordance with EYFS
  • Take responsibility of a small number of key children

What you would study

Early years practitioner (level 2)

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Working week

Monday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.

What you need

  • GCSE English Language at grade 4 (desired)
  • GCSE Mathematics at grade 4 (desired)

After the apprenticeship

Progression onto level 3, Room Head, Third in Charge, Deputy.
